Hey there, honey, let me tell you about this thing I saw, this YSL College Bag. They call it that, fancy name, huh? Sounds like somethin’ them young city girls carry their school books in. But it ain’t for no school, no sir. It’s one of them “luxury” things. Cost a pretty penny, I reckon.
Now, I ain’t one for fancy things myself. Give me a good, sturdy sack any day. But I gotta say, this bag, it’s got somethin’ to it. They say it’s a “classic,” means it never goes outta style. Like my old apron, I guess. Worn it for years, still good as new. ‘Cept this bag probably costs more than my whole house!
They say it’s from this place, “Yves Saint Laurent.” Sounds French. Don’t know nothin’ about that, but people seem to like it. They say it’s the same as just “Saint Laurent” too. Confusin’, ain’t it? Like when folks call me Bessie, or Elizabeth, it’s all the same me. Two names, but the same thing, you know? This YSL College Bag is the same. No matter what you call it, it’s a good one, they say.
I seen some young folks talkin’ about it. They say it’s a good “investment.” Now, I don’t know about puttin’ your money in a purse, but they say it holds its “value.” Like my old cast iron skillet, I suppose. Gets better with age. These young’uns and their newfangled ideas!
This bag, they make it real careful, I hear. Pay attention to all the little things, like when I’m quiltin’. Every stitch gotta be just right. They say it’s “high quality.” Guess that means it won’t fall apart like that cheap thing I bought at the market last year. Zipper broke right off!

- That YSL name is the same as Saint Laurent.
Now, I ain’t sayin’ you should go out and buy one of these YSL College Bags. That’s up to you and your pocketbook. But I’m just tellin’ ya what I heard. It’s somethin’ special, I guess. For them that like that kinda thing.
Me? I’ll stick to my old purse. It holds my money, my hanky, and a picture of my grandkids. That’s all I need. But hey, if you got the money and want somethin’ fancy, this YSL College Bag, it might be just the thing. They say the YSL College Bag quote is high, but the bag is good.
But don’t come cryin’ to me if you spend all your money on it and can’t afford to put food on the table! There’s more important things in life than a fancy purse, you know.
