This here watch, the Patek Philippe Calatrava 5227G-010, it’s a real fancy one. They call it a remake, like they took an old one and made it new again. Lots of folks, they like these Patek Philippe watches. This one, it’s got that classic style, you know? Simple, but real nice looking.
I seen a lot of these Calatrava watches in my time, even though I don’t own none. They’re too pricey for the likes of me! But this 5227G-010, it’s somethin’ special. It’s white gold, that’s what that “G” means, I reckon. And the “010”, well, that’s just part of its name, like a last name, you see? They make these in yellow gold too. That’s what they say, anyways. I don’t know what that means, exactly. Millimeters, I suppose. It ain’t as big as a dinner plate, that’s for sure!
Now, the insides of this thing, that’s where it gets real complicated. They say it’s got a special movement. They call it the Calibre 324 S C. Sounds like a car engine or somethin’. It’s automatic, which means you don’t gotta wind it up like them old pocket watches. It just keeps tickin’ as long as you wear it. Got lots of little parts in there, they say. 213 parts! Can you believe that? All them tiny pieces, workin’ together to tell the time.
And jewels! It’s got 29 jewels inside. Not real diamonds or nothin’ like that. These are special jewels they use in watches, to make ’em run smooth. 28800 vph, I heard someone say. Don’t ask me what that means. Probably just some watch talk that I don’t understand.
This watch, it ain’t cheap. I seen the price of some others in this Patek Philippe Calatrava brand. One was like $41,710. They call that the retail price. But you can get it for $29,246. It’s still a lot of money. People like these watches. They hold their value, that’s what they say. I hear some folks buy them as an investment. It’s like buying gold, I guess, but a lot fancier.

It is the hardest one to get, and they say it’s got 20 complications. It’s real complicated, this watch thing.
Now, this 5227G-010, it’s a new watch. But they say it’s like new, even if it ain’t brand new. Comes with a box and papers, too. All official-like. If you’re gonna spend that kinda money, you want the box and papers, I suppose. They say it is from 2022.
This here Patek Philippe Calatrava 5227G-010, it’s a real nice watch. A classic style, like they say. If you got the money, and you like fancy watches, well, this one might be for you. It’s a remake of a good one, I hear. So if you see one, and you got the money, you might wanna snatch it up. But you better know your watches if you’re gonna spend that kind of money. It’s a lot of money for somethin’ that just tells the time, if you ask me. But, what do I know? I just know a pretty watch when I see one. They are very collectible watches, these Calatrava.
It ain’t for me, though. I’m happy with my old watch. It may not be a Patek Philippe, but it tells the time just fine. And that’s all that really matters, ain’t it?
