So, I’ve been thinking about this watch for a while. It’s a copy of the OMEGA Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch, the one they sometimes call the “Speedy”. I’ve heard it’s a pretty big deal if you’re into watches. This one’s got that see-through back, the “open case back” or “transparent case back” they call it. I know it’s not the real deal, but I heard there was a good price for it.
I did some digging around, just to see what the fuss was all about. Turns out, there are different models of this watch. The first three digits of the product identification code or PIC for short, which consists of 14 digits, are 311 for the Speedmaster. Some folks say this watch, especially the older ones or special editions, can actually be a good investment. It’s pretty solid, too, they say it’s built to handle rough conditions. Sounds like it’s not just a fancy thing to look at. Plus, there’s this whole community of people who love these watches, so there’s always someone to talk to about them. People told me that the Speedmaster Professional typically holds its value well, especially vintage models and limited editions, which can appreciate in value over time due to their rarity and collector demand. I’ve also learned that the original one with the open case back is really hard to come by these days. They call it calibre 1863, and it was discontinued almost two decades ago. Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to get a new Speedmaster from Omega with hesalite crystal and display back. So I started looking for the copy one.
I started looking around for where to get one. The original one with the open case back is really hard to come by these days. The copy one, though, that’s another story. I finally found a place that sells them. And guess what? I ended up ordering one.
Now, I’m just waiting for it to arrive. I’m not expecting a miracle or anything, but I’m excited to see what it’s like in person. Maybe I’ll start wearing it around, see how it feels. Who knows, maybe I’ll even get into this whole watch thing. For now, though, I’m just happy I finally got my hands on one of these CopyOMEGA Speedmaster watches. We’ll see how it goes from here.
- Unboxing: It came in a pretty standard box, nothing fancy.
- First Impressions: It’s lighter than I expected, but it looks good. The see-through back is cool. You can see all the little gears and stuff moving around.
- Wearing it: Feels comfortable on my wrist. I’ve been wearing it all day, and it hasn’t bothered me.
- Overall: I’m happy with it. It’s not a real OMEGA, but it’s a nice watch. I think I’ll be wearing it a lot.
Update: It’s here!
So, that’s my story about getting a CopyOMEGA Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch with the open case back. It’s been a fun little adventure. I guess I never thought I’d get this interested in a watch, but here we are.
