Okay, so, I’ve been eyeing this Fendi Mon Tresor Mini bag for a while now, and let me tell you, it’s a beauty. I finally decided to copy it. Not exactly legit, you know, but close enough to get that same vibe without, well, you get the idea.

First, I spent hours, like, literally hours, scrolling through pictures online. I needed to see this bag from every single angle. I checked out the official Fendi place, but also some other sites that had it, just to get a good feel for it. I zoomed in on the details, the stitching, the way the leather looked. It’s got this cool mesh thing going on too, so I had to figure that part out.

Materials Hunt

Then came the fun part – finding stuff that looked like the real deal. I hit up a bunch of stores. Leather is a big part of this bag, so I needed to find something that was not too expensive. I found some decent stuff that had a similar look and feel. It wasn’t exactly the same, but hey, close enough, right? For the mesh part, I found some fabric that had a similar pattern. It took some digging, but I found something I was happy with.

Putting It All Together

  • Started by cutting the leather into the right shapes. I made a rough pattern based on the pictures I had. It was a lot of trial and error, to be honest.
  • Then I had to figure out how to sew it all together. This was tricky. It was not my best thing, but I made it work. I mean, there’s a reason I’m not a professional bag maker, haha.
  • Next came the mesh. I had to attach it to the leather in a way that looked like the original. This was super fiddly. I probably poked myself with the needle a million times. I saw someone talking about “deep clean tough pet stains like urine” and I was like, man I need to deep clean my fingers after this.
  • The handle and the little Fendi logo thing were the last parts. I found some old hardware that kind of worked for the handle, and for the logo.

After a lot of work, and a few mess-ups along the way, I finally finished it. It looks pretty good, if I do say so myself. Is it a perfect copy? Nah. But it’s got that Fendi Mon Tresor vibe, and that’s what I was going for. Plus, I saved a ton of money, which is always a good thing. I saw something like “Shop the selection of FENDI totes” and I thought, nah, I made my own selection. This was way more fun!

I even saw some “Fendi Kleiner Koffer mit FF-Print” and thought, maybe I’ll try making a suitcase next! Just kidding… or am I?

Anyways, that’s my story of copying the Fendi Mon Tresor Mini. It was a fun project, and I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. Maybe I’ll try another bag next!
