Okay, so I’ve been seeing this OMEGA Speedmaster “Silver Snoopy Award” 50th Anniversary watch popping up everywhere. At first, I was like, “Meh, another watch.” But the more I saw it, the more it started to grow on me. I mean, who doesn’t love Snoopy, right?
So, I started doing some digging. Turns out, this isn’t just any Snoopy watch. It’s got some serious history behind it. It’s to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 13 mission where the original Speedmaster played a big role, apparently. I guess that’s cool.
I went online, and started looking for places that sold it. Amazon had a bunch, but I wanted to see if I could find it cheaper elsewhere. I checked out some other watch websites, but they were all pretty much the same price. Some offer like, seasonal discounts or something.
Then, I started looking at the details of the watch. The back of it is pretty insane. It’s got this animated Earth and moon, and Snoopy goes around in a spaceship. It’s kind of silly, but I gotta admit, it’s pretty cool. It is not actually a limited edition but still limited to 5,441 pieces, which is in reference to the mission hours.
The watch itself is powered by some fancy OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3861 movement. I don’t really know what that means, but it sounds impressive. It also comes in a special box, which is a nice touch.
Here’s the thing, though:

- It’s also super popular, so it’s hard to find.
But, I don’t know, I was kind of obsessed at this point. I ended up finding one online from a reputable dealer. I bit the bullet and bought it.
When it arrived, I was like a kid on Christmas morning. I opened the box, and there it was. It was even better in person than in the pictures. I put it on, and I’ve been wearing it every day since.
Honestly, I’m really happy with it. It’s a beautiful watch, it’s got a cool story, and it’s just fun to wear. It’s definitely a conversation starter, and I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on it.
